It won’t be this clean for long
Semi-Svended:
Cleaned the wheels (Meguar’s wheel cleaner)
and tires (bleche-
white)
, two-bucket wash, decided I didn’t have enough daylight to get the fallout off the hood,
waxed, and aerospace-
303'ed. It’s been quite a while since it was anywhere near this clean.

It’s 4Runner night on Oppo! That looks great. It’s almost time for another coat of wax for mine.

In like February or so, yes. Miserable.

It had been way too long since I waxed it, especially since it sits outside in the summer (C
hevelle and RX7 are in the garage, one goes to storage for the winter). I tend to keep it cleaner in the winter since it’s in the garage (rinseless wash)
, and I take great joy in the stupidity of having a spotless vehicle in the middle of the wet, salty winter.

Last winter was the first time I’ve had winter parking for a vehicle in quite a while. I’ve had various project cars occupying that precious garage spot for the better part of a decade. I’ll be honest, it was nice not having to brush it off, scrape ice, etc. Eventually, it’ll get kicked outside again, unless, the project is a truck/Jeep of some sort.

I’m pouting right now because I went through the c ar wash for the first time in months and then not two hours later some business came up that made me have to go down a muddy dirt road.

Thank you!

Isn’t that always the case? I’m pretty sure we could build a weather control machine by gathering enough enthusiasts to an area and washing our cars there to draw in the rain.

It is very nice, only since I’ve lived here did I have inside parking and I became immediately spoiled. When I installed the furnace I resolved to not park outside in the winter ever unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks! It’s low miles (114k-ish) as well, taken care of for the most part. Unfortunately, having spent 20 years in this climate there’s some rust underneath, but the only bad area is the rear bumper - which I’m about to go pick up some paint for the replacement :)
